When it comes to rural property, Monty Monteith has all the credentials.
Growing up on a dairy farm in Hawkes Bay, Monty’s early career inevitably leant towards dairy farming. He worked for a decade before being recognised by the Dairy Industry in 2010 as New Zealand’s “Dairy Farm Manager of the Year.”
A one-time sales manager for Proctor and Gamble in Melbourne, Monty has since enjoyed successful equity partnerships in Hawkes Bay. More latterly he has worked in the stock and station industry for Farm Source Livestock (Fonterra) and Carrfields Livestock where he has advised and represented farmers on products and services to improve their productivity and profitability and add value to their properties.
With this broad farming background - from feed to financial budgeting; farming systems to working on consent applications with regional councils – Monty can readily support you through your selling, purchasing and lifestyle decisions. He has an extensive network of contacts throughout the country maintaining relationships through a high level of respect and integrity.
Monty provides a solid foundation in an ever-changing environment. With a firm understanding of what brings value to a property, and a naturally competitive nature, he works hard to achieve a strong return for vendors. And with unwavering enthusiasm, he is still thrilled to watch people’s hard work pay off when they buy their first property or sell their long-established asset.
On a personal note, Monty is a very active family man who shares his passion for sports with two young teenagers. Having once played rugby in Scotland, he has been continuously involved in rugby management and coaching. Monty enjoys a game of golf and is grateful for the beauty of the Hawkes Bay that enables him to indulge his passion for outdoor pursuits.
